On the other hand you can stick to using items that relate to your particular time period and thereby create a more authentic traditional dining room decor.

There are so many different traditional style elements that you can include in your design. You can also add moulded glass paneling to your table tops and this is an especially good option for dining rooms that have been around for several generations. The beauty of moulded glass is that it gives the room a very distinctively elegant look, which is perfect for traditional dining room decorating. It really makes a difference and although you can find these panels in a huge range of styles and designs, you should try to find some that suit the style of the rest of your room.
